Bormio Super-G bib draw: Odermatt #10 and Casse #11
Number 27 for Swiss Monney, winner today in Downhill
On the afternoon of an emotional day, culminating in a Swiss one-two in the Downhill won by Alexis Monney, the bib draw was held ahead of the Super-G that will close the post-Christmas weekend of fast disciplines along Bormio’s iconic Stelvio slope tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 29.
Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt, fifth in today’s Downhill and triumphant in Super-G in the past two editions of the Bormina leg of the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup, will start with bib number 10. Immediately after him it will be the turn of Italy’s Mattia Casse, first down among the Italians. Number 15 for Dominik Paris, the second Italian in the gate.
Opening the dances in the Super-G will be Switzerland’s Gino Caviezel, who has been given bib number 1. Switzerland’s Monney, winner of today’s Downhill, will start with bib number 27.
The start of tomorrow’s Super-G on Sunday is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. The event will be televised live in Italy on Rai 2 and Eurosport.
